Weight Loss Supplements
As I've said in my overall weight loss article, supplements for weight loss don't make you magically change your diet and lifestyle, and both of these should be changed for the better if you're looking for long-term weight loss success rather than just the ability to slip into a smaller dress size for a wedding.
Still, supplements really CAN support healthy weight loss, especially when infusing your body with needed nutrients. But they should be used as a tool rather than as a total solution by themselves.
Weight loss supplements should really do two things: get your body working WITH you in your weight loss efforts, and help you to make the right weight loss decisions. I am not a fan of products that are simply stimulants (these can cause jitters, bathroom problems, and too fast a burn up of your system) or appetite suppressants (you NEED to eat when losing weight if you want to stay healthy).
But I'm fine with something that encourages healthy metabolism levels and products that help you to feel full sooner, because portion control -- along with healthy food choices -- is an important part of losing weight, and often our bodies have gotten used to enormous meals, making it hard to stop eating sooner and feel good about it.
In the drop down menu, I'll be adding a number of specific products that I think are either useful and/or that have become generally popular, and I'll add my comments to each in hopes of giving you some useful insights when choosing supplements that will help in your weight loss efforts.
